Episode #7- Unique Excursions and Exploits
Rock, Paper and Scissors return to entice you with tales of adventure and intrigue.  Joining them on this odyssey is their well seasoned voyager, Captain Claw.

On this trek are bizarre and unique man made visions like Carhenge, the Blue Mosque, a Penis Park, the Ghibli Museum, the Zozobra Festival, and Boldt Castle.

You can tag along on a tour through Tai O, Hong Kong, and Kusadasi, Turkey.  If you are brave enough, join them on a trip beyond the DMZ into North Korea or to an island in the Philippines inhabited with witches.

If a natural surrounding is more your pleasure, our plucky podcasters won't disappoint.  Let them leave you breathless with places like the Himalayas in Nepal, Taroko Gorge, Cotopaxi, Kicker Rock in the Galapagos, and Seoraksan National Park.

If you're wanting an adrenaline rush, let them thrill you further with stories of high seas adventure. . . through a typhoon.  Leave swimming with the fishes for the mafia and swim with some sharks.  And if that's not enough. . . fly over the moon.

Game time- World Domination

Paper sets out to stump Rock, Scissors and Captain Claw.  With about 257 countries to name, who will rule?

How many can you name?  How many did they name?

To answer that. . . about 79.

Dumpster Dives-

Even after their expansive explorations,  your dogged podcasters slog through the crud of the dumpster to excavate some spoils. Rock hauls out two webcomics; The Gutters and The Punchline is Machismo.  Scissors reveals a movie and it's soundtrack, The Fountain.  Captain Claw also digs out a movie, 71 Into the Fire.  And Paper finishes with two more webcomics;  Axe Cop and Three Word Phrase.

Episode #6- Annoying Characters

Episode #6- Annoying Characters

Rock, Paper and Scissors are back to get under your skin.  Listen as they root around books, games, movies and tv shows for those irksome little, or not so little, feather rufflers.  Scissors cuts to the bone when it comes to vexing child actors then snips away at Dory from Finding Nemo.  Peeved Paper wraps and sends a verbal box of vitriol to the Blue Shell and Flying Medusa Heads.  Rock bashes fictional whingeing characters then moves to pummel a sunglasses wielding detective Caine. . . and they haven't even hit their pique yet!

Game time- Slashes of Horror

Scissors slapdashes a game together inspired by his recent spree of horror movie watching.  Rock, Paper and Scissor must name as many horror movies as they can without repeating franchises.  There are hundreds of horror movies, but how will our stalwart podcasters do under pressure?!

Dumpster Dives-

The dumpster is filled with hassles that someone tossed away and irritating schlock that no one wants.  Rock, Paper and Scissors work past all that in order to uncover something choice for the listeners.  Rock discovers a collectors edition version of Moleskine notebooks with beloved characters on the cover.  Paper unearths a made for tv animated movie, Turtles Forever.  Scissors, still on the horror jag, recommends two stories, Locke & Key and Heart-Shaped Box, both penned by Joe Hill.

(stay tuned for episode 7 where they'll discuss unique traveling exploits.)

Episode #5- Taste Test

Episode #5- Taste Test
aka- Put it in your mouth

Let Rock, Paper and Scissors whet your appetite for bizarre flavors with a feast for your ears.  Unable to contain their excitement for this topic they invited a friend.  Welcome Captain Claw.

First course:  Our taste testers chow down on some snack items acquired from several countries in Southeast Asia.  French onion flavored Pringles, a chocolate bar that reminds them of a scene from Caddyshack, sour gummies, blueberry ice cream flavored Oreos, a couple different flavors of KitKat, and some mints from a famous beer company.  Which ones are nosh worthy?  Which ones would they suggest you give to someone as a practical joke?

But that's not all.

Second and third course:  Our adventurous podcasters take on the Miracle Berry.  Listen to their before and after reactions to things such as lemons, beer, kimchi, whiskey, pickles and vinegar.

Game time- Mythological Creature Spew

Paper asks Rock, Scissors and Captain Claw to spit up any mythological creatures they can name.  Did they get your favorite?  Let them know which ones they forgot in the comment section below.

Dumpster Dives-

Throwing caution to the wind, Rock, Paper, Scissors and Captain Claw metaphorically gag a dumpster in the hopes that it will regurgitate up a choice nugget or two.  Paper salvages a couple of performances; Penn & Teller's show in Las Vegas, as well as a bloody production of Macbeth that Teller co-directed.  Scissors pushes past the sloppy mess and the years, back to 1994 to discuss pay per view Wrestle Mania 10.  Captain Claw pulls some music from the muck; Nigeria 70: The Definitive Story of Funky Lagos.  Lastly, having ripped a hole in his hazmat suit and gone through the proper quarantine processes, Rock surfaces with a John Woo movie, The Killer.

Below are some of the foods that our willing, podcasting lab rats subjected themselves to.

Episode #4- Board games/ Table top games

Episode #4- Board games/ Table top games

Guess who?!  Rock, Scissors and Paper shuffle the deck, roll the die, and spin the wheel to bring you their latest topic.  Their talk may seem trivial.  Does Scissors have a clue?  Is there a mastermind among them?  Are they all in jeopardy?  Never fear.  Paper is willing to take the risk, and Rock has a strategy.  This operation is finely tuned and ready to man the battleships as they to settle into any topic and taboo.  Let them monopolize your time.

Game time- World Music Chart

Rock asks Scissors and Paper to name well known bands and their country of origin.  Don't repeat the same country two turns in a row!  How far can Scissors and Paper carry this game?!  Oh, how many they missed!  How about letting them know of their oversights in the comment area below.

Dumpster Dives-

Well, the dumpster is full of wonderful surprises this week.  There's a movie, a magazine, and a card game.  Paper invades the dumpster and comes back with "Attack the Block."  Take note!  Scissors says "Found Magazine" does just that.  And, keeping with the game theme of this week, Rock deals out some "Hanafuda" cards.

(stay tuned for episode 5 where they'll taste test interesting foods and give immediate reactions.)

Episode 3- Life Hacks

Episode #3- Life Hacks

Join Rock, Scissors and Paper as they discuss and discover some things that might make your measly existence easier.  They cover food; how to dip cookies, how to soften cookies, and how to make a white trash dipping sauce.  Sometimes actually getting the food is difficult.  So listen to their tips about; how using chopsticks to avoid cheesy residue, how a cheese grater can help you distribute rock hard butter, how a tennis ball can open that sticky jar, how food scissors have lots of uses, and how a tree (or a shoe) might help you uncork that wine bottle.  While on the subject of alcohol, well, listen to a way to avoid drunkenness as well as some useful tips for some leftover vodka.  They have some non food related hacks that briefly involve knives, notebook, car doors, gaff tape, hockey tape, tampons, and acupressure- in no specific order.

Game time- Movie link

Take the last word of a title from a movie.  Now think of another movie title that uses that last work as its first wordNow, put them together.  For example:  Star Wars + War of the Roses = Star War of the Roses.  Now, see how long you can go.

How about "Spider Man on Fire in the Sky High School High Time Cop and Half?"

Dumpster Dives-

What did our fearless podcasters pull out of the dumpster for you this week?  Well Scissors recommends a re-imagined version of The Avengers comic; The Ultimates.  Paper suggests you take a half hour away from their podcast to listen to the very funny Judge John Hodgman Podcast, and Rock springboards off of Hodgman to suggest an HBO series called Bored to Death.

(stay tuned for episode 4 where they'll take on the topic of board games.)

Episode #2 (part 2)- games and dumpster dives

Finally it's game time!

Game time- Musicians in Movies
Rock's pick for a game is to have Paper and Scissors name musicians who have acted in movies, but not as musicians. . . they hit on the Rat Pack, the Rap pack, Cher, Madonna, and MJ. . . to name a few.  They surely missed some big players, so let them know!

Dumpster Dives-

Rock, Paper and Scissors crawl out of the dumpster with a few things clinging to them.  Limbo, an eerie and darkly atmospheric video game starts it off.  The next stop is the movie, Conan the Barbarian.  Lastly, we end up at Basilica di San Clemente in Rome.

Episode #2 (part 1)- Things we miss

Episode 2- Things we miss

This one ran long, so it's been split into two parts for easier listening.

While living abroad, Rock, Paper and Scissors discuss things they miss from home.  First they ruminate and salivate over foods they miss: CHEESE, Mexican food, doughnuts and assorted baked goods, sandwiches, cereal, chips, candy, Mac n Cheese, and fast food.  Eventually they move on to other things like the feeling of isolation, driving, quiet shopping and ocean views.

Towards the end they do a quick U-turn to discuss things they don't miss and things that are done better in other places.  Think transportation. . . tipping. . . and bathrooms.

If you're wondering what will happen during the game and dumpster dives, check back later for part 2!

Game time- Word Mix

How many 'j' and 'm' word combinations can Rock, Paper and Scissors come up with?  Who will be victorious?
