Episode #11- Calling all Recasts!
It's time to relieve your ears from whatever garbage you are currently listening to and trade up to the Earinvasia podcast- because they are doing a recasting podcast! In this plucky parley Rock, Paper and Scissors re-imagine some of their favorite and not so favorite movies. Who else, from any era, could play a believable Batman, Brando or Wells perhaps? Could Gary Busey tag in for an interesting Conan or Terminator. . . how about a Daniel Craig Terminator? Would Marlon Brando or Rob Schneider make a better Superman? Could you recast Star Wars with Jack Nicholson as Yoda and Matthew McConaughey as Chewie? Perhaps one could rework the kilts from Brave Heart into plaid tutus. And maybe Samuel L. Jackson would refine Winston into a more kick-ass Ghostbuster. Surely you can come up with your own ideas, but why not let Rock, Paper and Scissors give you a spring board.
Game time- Star Wars Wars
This time it's Rock and Scissors in the pressure cooker. Who can name the most Star Wars characters? Only Paper, with his mad memory skills can officiate this kind of battle.
Dumpster Dives-
Rock, Paper and Scissors think that it's time for you to change up your entertainment, and they are willing to reveal some of the treasures they've uncovered from the dumpster. First, Scissors hurls out a Cartoon Network cartoon, Adventure Time. Scissors finds it difficult to express, in words, the delight this show brings to him. However, the sentiment is understood and you the listener can be assured that this show is a gem. Next, Rock pitches into a double play with a soft spot for NYC. Ex Machina, a comic book series, creates a parallel NYC where the second tower didn't fall on 9/11 thanks to a newbie superhero with political aspirations. Rock follows that up with a documentary, Man On Wire, which follows the ventures of a French tight rope walker who dreams of walking between the World Trade Center towers. Finally, Paper pays tribute to a recently lost podcast, Filmjitsu. The 'podcast that wields film like deadly weapons' was engaging, hilarious and informative.

Episode #10- Theme Music
Episode #10- Theme Music
Sweeping strings, driving drums, blasting horns; theme music is the non visual character that seems to drive emotion. From earworms to anthems, massive orchestras to 8-bit, there's a world of sound and Rock, Paper and Scissors want to take it on. First they start with Williams, Elfman, Carpenter, Hisaishi, Marricone and other big movie hitters. They switch to an almost endless list of TV themes that range from moody and mysterious to goofy and ridiculous. Flipping from TV to games, Yuzo Koshiro, Koji Kondo, Nuo Bouematsu, Yasunori Mitsuda, and a slew of others from Capcom dominate the conversation.
Game time- Elfman vs/ Williams
Paper pits Scissors and Rock against each other in this thematic face off.
Dumpster Dives-
Trolling through the dumpster could leave you singing the blues. However, our podcasters seem to always resurface singing the praises of their loot. Scissors ascends with Improv Everywhere, a website that showcases the group's hilarious exploits. Paper crests with a humorous webcomic slung over a shoulder, Oglaf. And Rock summits with Tales from the Crypt, a much missed television series.
